Dr. Suhyla Al Safar discovered a passion for sculpture and arts in the year 1995, after moving to Paris. Between 1995-2000, Dr. Al Safar trained in ceramic and bronze sculpting at the renowned
Institute des Beaux Arts in Paris, where she specialized in classical and abstract forms. Her art covers several themes, including conflict. Dr. Al Safar has held several independent art exhibitions, in locations including Paris, Qatar, Rome, and Bahrain. She has also participated in exhibitions held at the Cairo Opera House, and at the George V Hotel in Paris.
She has been a columnist for Al Wasat news for the past seventeen years, where she writes on social and cultural affairs.
