Pamela Arent is an American contemporary abstract artist. She received her BA in biology from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota and her MFA from Parsons School of Design, The New School, NYC, NY. She has lived in Minnesota, California, New York, England and Bahrain.
Her work is heavily influenced by color theory and her studies in the natural sciences. She works from a state of mindfulness in the belief that all life forms are connected and to be respected. Part of her process consists of mixing and manipulating color on paper and canvas in multiple layers that blend, shift and change as they overlap and combine.
