Born in 1977 in Muharraq, Kingdom of Bahrain. The art of sculptor Khalid Farhan’s work depends on wood, stone, brass and bronze and is characterized through the making of spheres and hemispheres. The theme of his work is thus duality, between people and groups. He considers Sigmund Freud the key influence for his sculpture, which is represented through straight lines for the male and lenient (wavy) lines representing woman.
Khalid Farhan is therefore characterized by his abstract style and the simplicity of his ideas.
