International Artist Programme
London and India | Autumn – Winter 2017
Call for Participating Artists
Art Bahrain Across Borders, the Kingdom of Bahrain’s international art fair, in collaboration with Tamkeen Bahrain, announces a Call for Participating Artists for the International Artist Programme Autumn/Winter 2017 exhibitions in London and India.
The International Artist Programme’s mission is to promote cross-cultural dialogue and enable Bahraini artists to better understand the world in which they live and work, so fostering their development and growth.
Through a series of annual international exhibitions and events held in cities around the world, the International Artist Programme serves to inspire and engage by platforming the talents and vision of Bahrain’s artists to a global audience.
The International Artist Programme exhibition in London will be platformed under Bahrain Art Week and launched at a prestigious art venue in London. This will be supported by art events at galleries, auction houses and pop-up events. The theme for this exhibition is ‘diversity’ – artist interpretations of London’s position as a hub of cross-cultural exchange and driver of creative ideas. Artists may submit two works for this London exhibition.
The India exhibitions will be held at prestigious art venues in Mumbai and Delhi, with the entire International Artists Programme running for two weeks across both cities. The theme of these exhibitions will be ‘across boundaries’, and artist depictions of growth, progress and development. Artists may submit two works for these Indian exhibitions.
Submission Deadline: August 10th
Judging by International Selection Committee: August 11th – 18th
Artist Notification: By August 24th
Applications for the programme are accepted at www.artselectbh.com.
